The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ostrowski as he jumps to the side.
Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Ostrowski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ostrowski feints the counter takedown.

Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Ostrowski has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ostrowski landing knees to the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Ostrowski.
Johnson wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ostrowski gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Johnson.

Ostrowski works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Ostrowski engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Johnson wants to stand and escape but Ostrowski is having none of it.

Ostrowski seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like Ostrowski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Ostrowski is working Johnson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ostrowski is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.
Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position.

Krzysztof Ostrowski decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
