Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohsin Zaidi (ranked 465 p4p, 75 weight class) and Jamison Cassidy (ranked 432 p4p, 69 weight class). Cassidy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Space Oddity by David Bowie. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mohsin Zaidi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jamison Cassidy!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaidi is looking to clinch but Cassidy is avoiding it.
Zaidi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Zaidi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Zaidi walks into a left hand.
Cassidy throws a right hand that misses
and Zaidi counters with a nice body kick.
Cassidy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Zaidi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cassidy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Zaidi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Zaidi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Zaidi seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Zaidi explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Zaidi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Cassidy looks to score with a jab to the body but Zaidi is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cassidy throws an overhand right that lands on Zaidi's shoulder, as Zaidi tries to avoid the shot.
Zaidi throws a push kick but Cassidy slaps the foot to one side.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cassidy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Cassidy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Zaidi.
It looks like Mohsin Zaidi has been cut.
Zaidi tries a low kick but Cassidy avoids it.
Cassidy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Zaidi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cassidy.

Cassidy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zaidi moves away.
Jamison Cassidy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cassidy steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Zaidi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cassidy finds it's way round the side to connect with Zaidi's head.
Cassidy looks to score with a jab to the body but Zaidi is just out of range.
Zaidi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Zaidi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Zaidi tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Zaidi throws a shot from downtown. Cassidy moves away and avoids it.

Cassidy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Zaidi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jamison Cassidy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cassidy lands with a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zaidi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zaidi swings for the body but Cassidy moves out of range.
Zaidi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cassidy is able to avoid easily.

Zaidi wants to land a leg kick but Cassidy is out of range.
Cassidy throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Cassidy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Zaidi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Zaidi postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Zaidi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cassidy's head.
Cassidy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zaidi defends well.
Cassidy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zaidi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zaidi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zaidi tries to free his leg and advance position but Cassidy is retaining full guard.

Cassidy wants to improve his position but instead Zaidi has moved into half guard.
Zaidi moves nicely into side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cassidy manages to work his way to half guard, despite Zaidi's best efforts.
Zaidi working over Cassidy with some ground and pound. Cassidy looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Zaidi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Cassidy gets back to full guard.
Cassidy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zaidi with a nice head shot there.
Zaidi chips away with some ground and pound.
Cassidy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zaidi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mohsin Zaidi will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cassidy takes one to the side of the head.

Cassidy clobbers Zaidi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Zaidi throws a front kick aimed at Cassidy's knee but Cassidy avoids it well.
Zaidi lands a body shot.

Zaidi thumps Cassidy with a low kick.
Zaidi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cassidy.

Cassidy has his foot on Zaidi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zaidi works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zaidi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cassidy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zaidi has managed to get both his arms back between Cassidy's legs - danger averted.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Zaidi's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Zaidi postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Cassidy's head off the mat! Cassidy is out! He's out! Zaidi jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
