The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nigannou throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pritcharf.
Nigannou throws an overhand right that lands on Pritcharf's shoulder, as Pritcharf tries to avoid the shot.
Nigannou throws a one two combo.

It looks like Bretton Pritcharf has been cut.
Pritcharf's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nigannou connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pritcharf scrambles back to his feet.
Nigannou tries to score with a low kick but Pritcharf moves his leg out of the way.
Nigannou circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pritcharf throws a shot from downtown. Nigannou moves away and avoids it.
Pritcharf is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Pritcharf fails with an attempt to clinch.

Pritcharf fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nigannou to the ground. Pritcharf is now in Nigannou's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nigannou wants to stand but Pritcharf is controlling the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pritcharf doesn't manage to clinch there - Nigannou circles away.
Nigannou lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Nigannou throws the left hand but Pritcharf avoids the punch easily.
No joy there for Nigannou, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pritcharf shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nigannou manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Nigannou has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Pritcharf has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Pritcharf tries to pull guard but Nigannou won't allow it.
Pritcharf changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nigannou fights it off and pushes away nicely.

A combination from Pritcharf does no damage.
Pritcharf shoots in looking for a takedown. Nigannou tries to sprawl out of it but Pritcharf keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nigannou manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Despite the aggression on Nigannou's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bretton Pritcharf. That's going to take a lot out of him.

France Nigannou is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pritcharf drops his hands for a split second and Nigannou immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Pritcharf face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Nigannou follows up with a right hand that knocks Pritcharf into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
