The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davis Iii rushes Mccray and presses him up against the cage.
Mccray wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mccray prevents the takedown attempt.
Mccray is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Davis Iii is defending well for now.

Davis Iii breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Davis Iii tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mccray sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Davis Iii somewhat.
An attempted straight right counter from Mccray misses the target.
No joy there for Davis Iii, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Davis Iii with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kenny Davis Iii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis Iii throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mccray.
Davis Iii tries to clinch but Mccray moves out of range.
Mccray seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Davis Iii closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mccray to the mat! Mccray manages to get full guard.
Davis Iii wants to stand but Mccray has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Davis Iii wants to control from the top but Mccray keeps moving.
Mccray might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mccray really is a fat lump.
Mccray bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Davis Iii's guard.

Davis Iii working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Mccray has passed into half guard!

Mccray postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Davis Iii to stand up.
Davis Iii darts in looking for a takedown but Mccray gets double underhooks and turns Davis Iii into the cage.
Mccray half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Leandro Mccray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenny Davis Iii.

Mccray clinches up with Davis Iii and pushes him back against the cage.
Davis Iii fails to pull guard.

Mccray gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Davis Iii has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mccray is on him like a limpet, forcing Davis Iii back against the cage.

Davis Iii tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mccray smiles and moves away.

Davis Iii fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mccray avoids it really well and circles away.
As Davis Iii looks to move away, Mccray throws a big counter combo but Davis Iii just gets out of the way.

Davis Iii tries to clinch but Mccray is having none of it.

and Mccray counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Davis Iii is trying to escape back to his feet but Mccray uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Mccray wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davis Iii, who protects the arm well.

Mccray has hold of Davis Iii's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Davis Iii seems comfortable defending it but Mccray has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Davis Iii is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Davis Iii is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Mccray couldn't care less - he's delighted!
