Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Buchanan (ranked 4476 p4p, 403 weight class) and Blade Blue (ranked 5953 p4p, 465 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blue misses with a left hand
and Buchanan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Blue moves out of range of the strikes.
Buchanan misses with a looping right.
Buchanan slips a jab from Blue.
Blue throws an overhand right that lands on Buchanan's shoulder, as Buchanan tries to avoid the shot.
Buchanan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Blue loads up on a big right hand but Buchanan slips the punch.

and Buchanan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Buchanan shoots in for a takedown but Blue shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Blue cracks Buchanan with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Blue has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Buchanan to stand back up!
Blue lands a big right hand that sends Buchanan crashing to the mat! Blue stays standing though and waves Buchanan back to his feet!
Oh Buchanan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Buchanan is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Blue takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Buchanan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Blue lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Blue lands a two punch combo.
Buchanan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Blue throws a lazy uppercut
and Buchanan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Buchanan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Blade Blue is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Buchanan scores with a nice right hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Buchanan half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Blade Blue seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blue cracks Buchanan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters circle momentarily. Blue darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Blue has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Buchanan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Buchanan sizes up Blue with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
We've been informed that Blue has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Blue misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Buchanan.

Blade Blue seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Blue lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Nice uppercut there from Blue.
Buchanan walks straight into a right hand from Blue - that's dropped him! Blue jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Buchanan from any more punishment! Buchanan complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Blade Blue!
