Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Angle (ranked 4031 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragan Draganov (ranked 23402 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kurt Angle has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kurt Angle seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurt Angle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dragan Draganov!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Draganov pinned against the cage. Draganov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Draganov gets a double leg takedown into Angle's guard.
Angle has his hands on Draganov's head, controlling the position.
Draganov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Angle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Draganov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Draganov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Angle manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Angle tries to pull guard but Draganov holds him up against the cage and eventually Angle drops back down to his feet.
Angle has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Draganov after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurt Angle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Angle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Draganov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Draganov closes the distance and clinches.
Angle is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Draganov can't fight it off and eventually Angle manages to take the fight to the floor. Draganov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Angle drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Angle seems to have locked his on tight now - Draganov screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Angle, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Kurt Angle!
