Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Blitz!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blitz.
Blitz fails with a takedown attempt.
Smith throws a hook to the side of Blitz's head but Blitz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Blitz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Smith to the ground. Blitz is now in Smith's guard.

Smith uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Blitz shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Blitz swinging wildly here.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Blitz throws a nice inside leg kick.
Blitz keeps the fight on the outside.

Blitz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Smith swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Frank Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Blitz.
Smith avoids the head kick by Blitz.
Smith went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Blitz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Smith defends it nicely.
Blitz shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Blitz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Blitz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Blitz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smith is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smith has escaped and now he's on top!

Blitz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Smith is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blitz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Blitz is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it.

Blitz is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Smith's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Smith! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Blitz has tapped! This one is allllll over!
