The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matusov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Loogie was covering up waiting for the punch and Matusov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Matusov is standing up over Loogie. Loogie looks to escape but Matusov dives into side control.
Matusov tries for a kimura but Loogie is defending well.
Matusov trying to control the action but Loogie is working from the bottom.
Matusov works to advance to full mount. Loogie defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Matusov controlling the pace for now.
Loogie defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Matusov.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Matusov looking to secure an arm triangle but Loogie defends it well.
Matusov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Matusov works his way to his opponent's back.

Matusov is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Loogie won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Matusov off his unconscious opponent!
