These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Coke Montana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 24 - 0, fighting out of London, Miro Bang!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montana throws a leg kick that is checked

and Bang counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Montana!
Montana struggling a bit here.
Montana is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bang's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Bang is working for a kimura but Montana is defending it quite comfortably.

Bang is looking for a kimura but Montana is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bang to get the leverage.
Bang is looking to advance position but Montana won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bang is working for a submission of some sort.
Montana trying to hold on to Bang's head to control him but Bang postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Montana wants to get back to his feet.

Bang seems to be working for a kimura but Montana defends the submission attempt.

Bang is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Montana is just riding it out for now. Bang eventually gives up the hold.
Montana keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montana gets full guard.

Bang drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Montana dives on top into guard.


That's two minutes gone in the round.

Montana is sitting in close to Bang's body. Bang has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Montana is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Montana is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bang.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Miro Bang!
