Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Kay (ranked 2921 p4p, 245 weight class) and Marcos Santana (ranked 2651 p4p, 225 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana has a takedown stuffed.
As Santana tries to get set, Kay tries to push him back and clinch up but Santana manages to avoid the attempt.
Santana shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kay defends it nicely.
Santana fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kay feinted with a counter takedown.
Brandon Kay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcos Santana.

Santana drives through and clinches with Kay against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Santana connects with a nice short shot to Kay's temple.

Santana tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Santana has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Santana goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kay has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Santana but great work by Kay.

Santana had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kay defends it easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kay arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Santana's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
