Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vadim Nazarov (ranked 2248 p4p, 292 weight class) and Max Handle (ranked 2504 p4p, 320 weight class). Handle has chosen Right On as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Vadim Nazarov has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vadim Nazarov seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Handle.
Nazarov throws a hook but Handle avoids it easily.
Handle throws a jab but it's blocked by Nazarov.
Handle swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nazarov.

Handle feints and as Nazarov raises his hands in defense, Handle changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Handle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
My spies in Death Valley Training Facility inform me that Handle has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nazarov enables Handle to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nazarov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
