Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cozzy ExPeRiMeNt Ii (ranked 2429 p4p, 260 weight class) and Jason Mallone (ranked 2590 p4p, 275 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mallone cracks ExPeRiMeNt Ii with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jason Mallone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mallone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mallone tries to avoid it but ExPeRiMeNt Ii manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mallone to the ground. Mallone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mallone scores with a nice right hand.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Nice sprawl there from Mallone as ExPeRiMeNt Ii shoots in.
Mallone looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Mallone connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed ExPeRiMeNt Ii momentarily.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mallone but Mallone pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mallone swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by ExPeRiMeNt Ii.
Mallone pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces ExPeRiMeNt Ii back to the cage. Mallone follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mallone circles away.

Mallone is trying to trip ExPeRiMeNt Ii. He has hold of a leg but ExPeRiMeNt Ii is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mallone persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

ExPeRiMeNt Ii escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mallone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

ExPeRiMeNt Ii escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mallone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii pulls Mallone in close to prevent any damage.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii wants to sweep here but Mallone controlling him for the moment.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mallone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with ExPeRiMeNt Ii. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mallone connects with a couple of short punches.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now ExPeRiMeNt Ii is on top in guard.

ExPeRiMeNt Ii wants to control from the top but Mallone keeps moving.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii postures up in Mallone's guard and throws a big left but Mallone blocks it.
Mallone wants to stand and escape but ExPeRiMeNt Ii is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mallone works ExPeRiMeNt Ii's body with a nice hook.
Mallone lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Mallone closes the distance and clinches.
Mallone scores with a shoulder strike.
Mallone lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down ExPeRiMeNt Ii.
Mallone scores with a shot to the side of ExPeRiMeNt Ii's head.
Mallone lands a right hand.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii tries to stall but Mallone uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Mallone effectively controlling the action here.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii can't break the clinch.
Mallone throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Mallone is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. ExPeRiMeNt Ii can't fight it off and eventually Mallone manages to take the fight to the floor. ExPeRiMeNt Ii looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

ExPeRiMeNt Ii is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mallone defends well.

ExPeRiMeNt Ii is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mallone is aware though and is defending well.

ExPeRiMeNt Ii gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mallone.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
ExPeRiMeNt Ii tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mallone swivels and escapes.
Mallone scores with a sloppy right hand. ExPeRiMeNt Ii should have avoided that one.
