Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reginald Brooks (ranked 4017 p4p, 81 weight class) and Lucas Blye (ranked 4191 p4p, 84 weight class). Blye has chosen White Rabbit : Jefferson Airplane as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reginald Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucas Blye!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blye avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Brooks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Blye closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Blye is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Blye has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Brooks tries to get to full guard but Blye has control of the leg.
Brooks has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Blye might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brooks haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Blye prevents Brooks from escaping the position.
Blye is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A little jabbing left from Blye on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

I would just about give that final round to Lucas Blye.
