Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rui Rodrigo Germano (ranked 2242 p4p, 307 weight class) and Hossein Vaziri I I I (ranked 3332 p4p, 415 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Germano might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to HIM - Don't Fear The Reaper. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaziri I I I connects with an inside leg kick.
Germano rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vaziri I I I moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vaziri I I I ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Germano chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vaziri I I I can pounce on him.
Germano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Germano manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vaziri I I I on his heels. He'll look to pass Vaziri I I I's guard now, I'm sure.

Germano drops back looking for a leg! Vaziri I I I is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vaziri I I I manages to kick Germano off! Germano jumps back into Vaziri I I I's guard.

Some bone on bone action there as Germano checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Hossein Vaziri I I I seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Germano throws a lazy right hand but Vaziri I I I sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vaziri I I I throws a shot from downtown. Germano moves away and avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Germano throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vaziri I I I on the side of the head.
Vaziri I I I throws a looping overhand right but Germano ducks down to avoid it.

and Germano counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Germano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vaziri I I I has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Germano has managed to get both his arms back between Vaziri I I I's legs - danger averted.

A big strike lands for Germano! That's really hurt Vaziri I I I and he's turned his back - Germano keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Germano jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
