Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pena Pulkkinen (ranked 39 p4p, 4 weight class) and DJ Maximus (ranked 99 p4p, 14 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulkkinen throws a sloppy head kick and Maximus moves out of range easily.
Maximus is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pulkkinen with a body shot.
Nice straight punches there by Pulkkinen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pulkkinen.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pulkkinen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Maximus - the referee stops the clock and Pulkkinen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Maximus. Pulkkinen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Maximus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pulkkinen was well out of range. Poor timing from Maximus.
Maximus takes a swing at Pulkkinen's ribcage but misses.
Pulkkinen throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

DJ Maximus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pulkkinen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pulkkinen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maximus.

Maximus moves in looking to clinch but Pulkkinen pushes him off.

Maximus has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pulkkinen finds it's way round the side to connect with Maximus's head.

Pulkkinen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maximus's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pulkkinen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Maximus scrambles back to his feet.

Pulkkinen lands a nice looking kick to the body. Maximus takes a step back to recover.
Maximus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pulkkinen manages to avoid it.

A looping hook to the body misses from Pulkkinen. Maximus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pulkkinen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

A chopping leg kick lands by Pulkkinen.

Pulkkinen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Maximus cracks Pulkkinen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Pulkkinen throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Pulkkinen closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Maximus out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

A less than humble Pena Pulkkinen misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
