The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piano misses with a right hand
and Boss counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Rick Piano has been cut.
Boss throws a hook but Piano blocks it.

Piano lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Piano throws a lazy head kick
and Boss counters with a nice uppercut.
Boss looks to land a left hand but Piano moved out of range nicely.
A quick step to the side and Piano tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circling - Boss throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A slow jab from Boss misses its intended target.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Piano .

Boss swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Piano avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Piano has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Skulls house of pain in the buildup to the fight.
Piano ducks under a wild hook from Boss.
Boss misses with an uppercut.
Piano lands a jab to the nose.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Piano clinches up with Boss and pushes him back against the cage.

Boss swings wildly with an uppercut but Piano uses good head movement to avoid it.

That has opened up Like Boss's cut even more.

Piano lands an elbow that stopped Boss in his tracks for a moment.
Clinched against the cage, Piano lands a big elbow that drops Boss! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Boss is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Piano !
Rick Piano decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Like Boss was interviewed post fight and said 'WTF happened???'.
