Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lanny Poffo (ranked 4074 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Silva (ranked 3127 p4p, 0 weight class). Poffo comes into the arena with The Genius blaring out of the sound system. Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Roots Bloody Roots - Sepultura. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lanny Poffo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
26 - 44 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Silva!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poffo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Poffo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Poffo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva.
Poffo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poffo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poffo drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Poffo off! Poffo jumps back into Silva's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Poffo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Poffo manages to get himself to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Poffo holds on and takes a little breather.
Poffo controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
Poffo pulls Silva in close to prevent any damage.

Silva is working for a kimura but Poffo is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Poffo trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.
Silva is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Poffo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Rodrigo Silva seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
