Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Laraque!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laraque misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Laraque misses with a series of wild punches.

Boucher moves into the clinch.
Boucher gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Laraque.

Boucher tightens his grip and picks Laraque up, before dumping him to the ground. Laraque manages to land in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laraque wants to sweep but no luck.

Boucher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Laraque has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boucher has managed to get both his arms back between Laraque's legs - danger averted.

Boucher decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Laraque, up you get!

Laraque throws a poor cross that misses

and Boucher counters with a crisp one two that drops Laraque! Boucher thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Laraque to his feet! Laraque is in big trouble!
Laraque is still on wobbly legs! Can Boucher finish him?

Boucher clinches up against the cage.

Boucher works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Boucher advances position into side control!
Laraque seems to have recovered his senses.
Boucher in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Boucher stands up.
Laraque falls off balance throwing a combination

and Boucher counters by clinching up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Laraque throws a right and a left that Boucher avoids nicely.

Boucher throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Laraque is fighting off a takedown attempt but Boucher is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Laraque to the mat. Laraque regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Laraque has Boucher pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Laraque pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Boucher tumbling to the mat - Laraque dives into Boucher's guard.
