The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Springs instigates a clinch.
Springs lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Jan Molby has been cut.
Molby using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Springs has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Molby missing with knees to the body.
Springs lands an uppercut.
Molby throws a knee to the head but misses.
Springs cracks Molby with a nice body shot.
Springs creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Molby's defenses.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Springs creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Molby misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Springs.

Springs is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Molby can't fight it off and eventually Springs manages to take the fight to the floor. Molby looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Molby working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Springs has passed into half guard!

Springs wants to free his trapped foot but Molby is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Springs looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Molby is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Springs's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Springs's back!
Springs covering up well under a series of strikes from Molby.
Springs manages to reverse the position and now he's in Molby's guard. Nice work there by Springs.
Molby not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Molby wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Springs is now in half guard.

Molby tries to roll over but Springs keeps him under control.

Molby has hold of Springs's hands but Springs slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Springs wants to control but Molby is keeping him busy.

Springs is working for a kimura but Molby is defending it quite comfortably.

Springs is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Springs is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Molby is trying to maintain the position but Springs is very close to passing his half guard.
Springs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Molby does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Molby wants to get back to full guard.
Molby gets back to full guard.
Molby tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Molby is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Springs scoring with some ground and pound.
Molby controls Springs momentarily but Springs frees himself.
Springs distracts Molby with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Molby is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Molby might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Springs haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Molby escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Springs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Molby not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Springs slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Springs is in close to Molby's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Molby is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Springs looking to sit in guard and control but Molby gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Molby tries to free his leg and advance position but Springs is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Springs gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A hook to the body from Springs.
Springs blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Springs working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Molby's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Springs lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Molby backwards.
Springs lands a body shot in the clinch.
Springs stalls.
Springs throws an elbow but it misses.
A short uppercut from Springs.
Springs lands a shoulder strike.
Springs lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Molby backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A right hook to the body lands for Springs.
Molby misses with an elbow strike.
Molby is breathing heavily.
A nice left hand lands by Springs.
Springs lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.


Molby is rocked!

Springs lands a big right hand that drops Molby! The killer instinct kicks in and Springs finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Springs!
