Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Konstantin Uszatov (ranked 5008 p4p, 151 weight class) and Ricco Torres (ranked 2899 p4p, 105 weight class). Ricco Torres has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uszatov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Torres sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Uszatov somewhat.
Uszatov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Uszatov shoots and misses
and Torres connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Torres misses with a body shot.
Uszatov appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Good standup being displayed there by Torres as he connects with a hook.
Torres lands a nice shot that snaps Uszatov's head back.
Uszatov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Torres, as that shot connected.

Uszatov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Torres as he avoids it easily.
Torres throws out a counter right but Uszatov avoids it with no problem.
Torres is looking to land body kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Uszatov shoots in but no luck this time.

Torres throws a lazy uppercut

and Uszatov counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Torres has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Torres is trying to stand up here but Uszatov is controlling him well.
Uszatov misses with a head shot. Torres uses the momentum to regain guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Torres is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Torres is keen to just control but Uszatov is a slippery customer.
Uszatov is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Uszatov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Torres is working away from the top position though.
Torres is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Torres lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Uszatov is trying to maintain the position but Torres is very close to passing his half guard.

Torres wants to lay and pray for a moment but Uszatov keeps working.
Torres might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Uszatov haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Uszatov wants to control but Torres is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Torres is nestled in close to Uszatov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Uszatov is in trouble now - Torres has advanced to mount!
Torres looking to finish Uszatov with some ground and pound. This is bad for Uszatov!

Konstantin Uszatov's cut is getting worse.
Uszatov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Torres postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Uszatov looks a forlorn figure.
