Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bart Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Trevor Navarrete!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Navarrete paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Navarrete fails with the takedown.
Navarrete tries to score a power double leg takedown but Snow sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Navarrete somewhat.
Snow is looking to counter the offense by Navarrete and move into the clinch.
A head kick misses from Navarrete.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Navarrete with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Navarrete cracks Snow with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Navarrete lands a couple of good shots and Snow has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

You can see the frustration on Snow's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Navarrete working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

I really don't envy Snow right now.
Navarrete biding his time, controlling Snow.
Navarrete is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Navarrete gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Navarrete gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Navarrete apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Trevor Navarrete showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Snow stuffs the takedown.
Navarrete changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snow tries to avoid it but Navarrete manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snow to the ground. Snow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Snow slaps away a takedown attempt from Navarrete, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Navarrete shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Snow sprawls well. Snow wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Navarrete gets slowly back to his feet.
Trevor Navarrete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Horrible takedown attempt by Navarrete or perhaps it was just good defense by Snow, which made it look bad.
Snow throws a right and a left that Navarrete avoids nicely.
Navarrete is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Navarrete moves into range and clinches up with Snow.
Navarrete goes for a takedown attempt but Snow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Navarrete shoots in and gets a takedown into Snow's guard.
Snow manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Navarrete manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Snow stands and steps away. Navarrete gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Navarrete moves out of range as Snow strikes.

Navarrete forces Snow back against the cage and clinches.

Navarrete wants to control from the top but Snow keeps moving.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Snow is looking for a triangle here but Navarrete uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Navarrete works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Snow takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Trevor Navarrete is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bart Snow.
I think Navarrete has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
