Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Milo Markovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kamil Esgoban!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Topper Green and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markovic avoids a punch combination nicely.

Markovic feints and as Esgoban raises his hands in defense, Markovic changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Markovic slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Esgoban is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Markovic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Markovic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Markovic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Esgoban is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Esgoban cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Esgoban takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kamil Esgoban is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Markovic drives through with a takedown into Esgoban's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Markovic looks up at the clock and then as Esgoban takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Markovic smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Markovic throws a strike aimed at the side of Esgoban's head but Esgoban avoids it well.

Markovic tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Markovic has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Markovic decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Markovic tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Esgoban defends well and Markovic ends up having to push Esgoban into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milo Markovic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Esgoban throws a poor cross that misses
and Markovic connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Markovic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Esgoban looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Esgoban takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Markovic is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Esgoban can do to turn this around?

Well Markovic has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
