Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Newton Fandango (ranked 3355 p4p, 373 weight class) and Kai Kealoha (ranked 3754 p4p, 403 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Newton Fandango!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kai Kealoha!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kealoha throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fandango takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Fandango definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kealoha misses with a body shot.
Fandango tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kealoha defends well and Fandango ends up having to push Kealoha into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Fandango takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kealoha thuds his right hand into Fandango's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kealoha smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kealoha tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fandango was well out of range. Poor timing from Kealoha.

This has been an exciting period of action!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fandango accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters circle momentarily. Kealoha darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Newton Fandango overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fandango looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kealoha with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
