Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Hernandez (ranked 25019 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Bones (ranked 5127 p4p, 0 weight class). Bones has chosen Next Song by Baby Jesus as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bobby Bones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bones clinches up with Hernandez and pushes him back against the cage.
Hernandez on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Bones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bones has managed to clinch.

Bones breaks the clinch.

Hernandez drives through and clinches with Bones against the cage.
Bones scores with a shoulder strike.
Hernandez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bones just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bones keeps control of Hernandez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Bones manages to break the clinch.

Hernandez darts in and clinches Bones up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hernandez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bones is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hernandez to the mat. Hernandez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hernandez has control of Bones's left arm, preventing Bones from doing any damage.
Hernandez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Bones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hernandez is proving hard to escape from.

Hernandez is looking for a triangle but Bones pushes his legs off easily.

Bones wants to stand and escape but instead Hernandez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bones is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hernandez dives into side control.
Hernandez slows the pace down.
Bones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hernandez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hernandez has an Americana. Bones didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hernandez is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hernandez hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
