Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arlo Rochester (ranked 4504 p4p, 455 weight class) and Jarvis Young (ranked 2468 p4p, 280 weight class). Rochester's entrance music is Voodoo Child- Jimi Hendrix. A fine choice. Arlo Rochester has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arlo Rochester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jarvis Young!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Young.
Young bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rochester's head backwards.
Young tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rochester swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rochester swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Rochester looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Rochester has taken the fight to the clinch.

Rochester jumps guard.

Rochester is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Young is aware though and is defending well.

Rochester had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Young defends it easily.
Young wants to control from the top but Rochester keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rochester has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Young is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rochester.

Rochester regains half guard there - taking advantage of Young's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Rochester really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Young is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rochester defends it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Young lands with a hook. Rochester tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Rochester fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Young, pushing him back against the cage.

A close second round but Jarvis Young will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
