Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fanta Coco (ranked 1918 p4p, 228 weight class) and Jack Dawson (ranked 2705 p4p, 295 weight class). Dawson has chosen Titanic theme as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fanta Coco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Dawson!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dawson drives through with a takedown into Coco's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Coco keeping full guard, as Dawson tries to pass.
Dawson looking to sit in guard and control but Coco gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Coco stands up from Dawson's guard - Coco perhaps looking for a knockout.
Coco listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Dawson takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Dawson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Coco digs a right hand underneath Dawson's ribcage. Dawson let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Dawson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Coco avoids it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dawson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Coco.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Coco tries to break free but Dawson pushes him back against the cage.
Dawson blocks a body shot from Coco.
Dawson lands an elbow that stopped Coco in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Fanta Coco has been cut.

Coco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dawson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Coco avoids it really well and circles away.
Coco fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dawson tries to counter with a clinch but Coco shakes him off and moves away.

Dawson gets tackled into the cage by Coco. Coco maintains the clinch.

Coco wants to break the clinch but can't.

Coco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Coco ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Coco fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dawson, pushing him back against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Coco.
Dawson landing knees to the head.
Coco is trying to force a seperation but Dawson has the dominant position.
Dawson creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Coco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dawson shoots in for a takedown but Coco shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
An inside leg kick lands from Coco.

Coco tries to clinch but Dawson moves out of range.
Dawson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Coco's waist but Coco gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dawson off to one side.
An attempted straight right counter from Coco misses the target.
Fanta Coco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Dawson.
Dawson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Coco is fending him off so far but Dawson persists. Nope, Coco circles away and we're back to standing.

Coco gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Coco lands a body punch.
Coco lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Coco misses with a punch to the body.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Coco.
Coco lands a body punch in the clinch.
Dawson looks winded!
Coco blocks a body shot from Dawson.
Coco lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Coco's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Coco delivers a nice body kick.
Dawson tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Dawson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Coco lands a high kick!

Coco fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Coco fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dawson tries to clinch but Coco moves out of range.
Coco misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Coco is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Coco gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dawson trying to control the position from guard on top but Coco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Coco is looking to stand up but Dawson isn't so interested in that idea.
Dawson pushes down on Coco's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Dawson is looking to take a break and control but Coco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Coco on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Coco tries to get out of the position.

Dawson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Coco's head.
Coco is trying to stand up here but Dawson is controlling him well.
Dawson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Dawson is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dawson content to control rather than advance.
Ground and pound from Dawson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fanta Coco dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Fanta Coco's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dawson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Coco is looking to clinch but Dawson is avoiding it.
Dawson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Coco sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dawson somewhat.

Dawson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dawson throws a strike aimed at the side of Coco's head but Coco avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coco wants to get back to his feet but Dawson drags him back down.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Coco here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Coco is not content to let Dawson control the position.
A lull in the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dawson throws an elbow but Coco slips to the side and avoids it well.
Coco defending against the ground and pound.
Jack Dawson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dawson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Coco is avoiding damage well.

Dawson is trying to get an arm triangle but Coco is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dawson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Coco knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Coco wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Dawson controls the position.
Let's hope that Dawson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
