Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Murhaa (ranked 1852 p4p, 268 weight class) and Dennis Steiner (ranked 4698 p4p, 492 weight class). Dennis Steiner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Murhaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dennis Steiner!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner scores with a hook to the body. Murhaa takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Murhaa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Steiner defends it nicely.
Steiner is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Steiner circles away from the clinch attempt.

Murhaa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Steiner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Murhaa goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Steiner is on top in guard.
Murhaa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Let's hope that Steiner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that King Murhaa will probably get the nod.

Steiner paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dennis Steiner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Steiner throws a jab but it's blocked by Murhaa.
Murhaa seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Murhaa goes for a double leg but Steiner avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Steiner continues to drive forward.

and Steiner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steiner is staying active underneath Murhaa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Murhaa wants to free his trapped foot but Steiner is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Murhaa perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
