Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jax Thomas (ranked 294 p4p, 34 weight class) and Nando Vasquez (ranked 335 p4p, 40 weight class). Thomas comes to the cage accompanied by Killing is my business, and business is good! - Megadeth. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas cracks Vasquez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Thomas throws a low kick but it's checked well by Vasquez.
Vasquez steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Thomas looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Thomas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Vasquez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thomas manages to avoid it.
Thomas misses with a low kick as Vasquez jumps back.
Vasquez bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Thomas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vasquez.
Vasquez throws a hook but Thomas avoids it easily.
Vasquez goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Thomas tries to counter by clinching up but Vasquez breaks away and moves out of range.
Thomas moves out of range of the leg kick from Vasquez.
Vasquez swings away with a body shot that misses
and Thomas moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vasquez manages to break the clinch.
Oooooh!!! Thomas has knocked Vasquez down with a huge combo! Thomas steps away and waves a wobbly Vasquez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Vasquez is rocked!
It looks like Nando Vasquez has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vasquez walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Thomas swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jax Thomas!
