Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between William Spud (ranked 840 p4p, 91 weight class) and Roberto Duranto (ranked 887 p4p, 96 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duranto connects with a leg kick. Spud looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

We've been informed that Duranto has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

No joy there for Spud, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Duranto throws out a leg kick but Spud moves out of range and Duranto only half commits.
Spud fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Duranto has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Spud uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Duranto has time to react.

Spud takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Spud lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Duranto has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Duranto and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Spud closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looked like Spud wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Duranto has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
