The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Whysocki is fighting to break Tanahashi's control of his arms but Tanahashi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Tanahashi told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Tanahashi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Whysocki's guard.

Tanahashi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Tanahashi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tomohiro Tanahashi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tanahashi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
