The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lian Jie fails to land with a series of punches.
Lian Jie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Flores moves away.
Flores changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Lian Jie lands the left hand.
Lian Jie throws a series of punches but Flores moves out of range.
Flores fails in his attempt to clinch.

A looping hook to the body misses from Lian Jie. Flores does a little dance to reset his feet.

Flores really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lian Jie throws a lazy right hand but Flores sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Li Lian Jie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flores uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lian Jie.
Lian Jie throws a nice looking combination but Flores bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
