PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Frye (ranked 1662 p4p, 195 weight class) and Barry Allen (ranked 5746 p4p, 521 weight class). Frye comes to the ring accompanied by Bombshell. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Isaac Frye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry Allen!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frye digs a good body shot into Allen's ribs.
Allen lunges at Frye with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Frye's hand.
Allen tries to bum rush Frye with a series of wild strikes but Frye uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Allen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Frye throws out the jab.
We've been informed that Allen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Barry Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Allen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Frye.
A jab lands there for Frye.
Frye throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Frye dodges the punch combination from Allen.
A slow jab from Allen misses its intended target.
It appears Frye was looking to counter with a kick there.

Good exchange - Frye coming out on top.
Allen throws a push kick but Frye slaps the foot to one side.
Frye misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Allen.

We've been told by Frye's head coaches at Stark Combat Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Frye takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Allen slips a straight right by Frye.
Frye throws the left hand but Allen avoids the punch easily.
Allen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Frye finds it's way round the side to connect with Allen's head.
Frye lands with a good body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Allen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Frye throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Allen colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Frye as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Allen is left battered and dazed whilst Frye and his camp cheer!
