Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jon Cormier (ranked 5205 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy McDaniel (ranked 3406 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy McDaniel!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormier shoots in and drives through. McDaniel sprawls well.
Cormier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McDaniel tries to avoid it but Cormier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McDaniel to the ground. McDaniel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

McDaniel moves out of range as Cormier strikes.
McDaniel shoots in looking for a takedown but Cormier manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McDaniel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McDaniel is looking to stand up but Cormier won't let him.

McDaniel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cormier has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McDaniel has managed to get both his arms back between Cormier's legs - danger averted.

Well McDaniel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
