Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leo Vuce (ranked 2856 p4p, 236 weight class) and Robby Cairn (ranked 7773 p4p, 427 weight class). Robby Cairn is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leo Vuce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robby Cairn!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vuce clinches.
Cairn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Vuce pulls Cairn into guard.
Vuce wants to get back to his feet but Cairn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cairn is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Vuce is wriggling around but Cairn manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cairn in particular looking to stall.
Vuce wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cairn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vuce's head.
Cairn trying to control from half guard but Vuce is working away.
Vuce is trying to stand up here but Cairn is controlling him well.

Vuce keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vuce is trying to stand up here but Cairn is controlling him well.
Vuce trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cairn throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Cairn prevents Vuce from standing back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Vuce throws a head kick that misses.

Vuce closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cairn moves into full guard.

Cairn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vuce defends it easily.

Vuce stands and steps away. Cairn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Cairn is looking to chop away at Vuce's legs.
Vuce has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight.
Vuce darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Vuce misses with a wild combination.
Cairn avoids the head kick by Vuce.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vuce manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cairn on his heels. He'll look to pass Cairn's guard now, I'm sure.
Cairn is trying to keep Vuce in close.
Vuce wants to control from the top but Cairn keeps moving.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cairn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vuce can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Vuce postures up and lands a big shot to Cairn's brow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vuce advances to half guard.
Cairn tries to roll over but Vuce keeps him under control.

Vuce escapes and gets back to his feet.

Vuce closes the distance and pushes Cairn back into the cage.
Cairn is looking for a takedown.
Cairn misses with a hook to the ribs.

Vuce turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Vuce lands some shots froms side control.

Vuce stands up.

Cairn gets caught flat footed, as Vuce shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vuce wants to control from the top but Cairn keeps moving.
Vuce is in close to Cairn's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Vuce is looking to work some ground and pound but Cairn has wrist control.
Cairn has a closed guard, preventing Vuce from standing up.
Cairn striking off his back but it's not causing Vuce any problems.
Vuce controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Vuce seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cairn for as long as he can get away with.
Vuce throwing strikes from guard but Cairn blocks nicely.
Vuce working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leo Vuce dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Cairn throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Vuce gets the takedown into side control.
Vuce trying to control the action but Cairn is working from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Cairn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vuce will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vuce tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Vuce is putting a hurting on Cairn here, landing some big shots from side control.

Cairn tries to control but Vuce manages to take his back.
Cairn is trying to break free.
Vuce just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Cairn's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Vuce's hands.
Vuce connects with a big shot to the side of Cairn's head.
Cairn is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Cairn just trying to survive but Vuce is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here.
Vuce is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cairn can do to turn this around?
Vuce is hanging on to Cairn's back as he tries to escape.
Vuce controlling from the back.
Vuce is not going to allow Cairn to sit and survive in this position.
Cairn is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Vuce.
Cairn tries to break free.

Vuce looking for the choke but no joy.

Vuce has the hooks in. Cairn is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Vuce passes his arm under Cairn's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Cairn taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Leo Vuce!
A very excited looking Leo Vuce made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
