Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grinny Lopez (ranked 3293 p4p, 115 weight class) and Zyd Xyd (ranked 1520 p4p, 55 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Zyd Xyd was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Xyd lands a nice shot to the body.
Lopez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Xyd.
Xyd looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Lopez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lopez misses with an uppercut
and Xyd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Xyd lands with a nice body punch.
Xyd lands with a thumping leg kick.
Xyd ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lopez just misses with a punch to the body.

Xyd tries a head kick but it misses.

Xyd tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lopez was well out of range. Poor timing from Xyd.
Lopez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lopez avoids the body shot from Xyd.
Xyd is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lopez rather than just go for the knockout.
Xyd throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Xyd lands a big head kick that sends Lopez tumbling to the mat! Xyd takes a step backwards and waves Lopez back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lopez is rocked!
Xyd finds Lopez's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Lopez flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Xyd lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Lopez will be OK.
