Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fidnhasieunch shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

William Fidnhasieunch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fidnhasieunch shoots in and drives through. Matsunaga sprawls well.

Matsunaga buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Matsunaga lands a nice shot that snaps Fidnhasieunch's head back.
Matsunaga uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Fidnhasieunch tries to move into range but Matsunaga moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Matsunaga makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Fidnhasieunch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Matsunaga sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fidnhasieunch somewhat.
Matsunaga throws a one two combo.
Matsunaga fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fidnhasieunch has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Matsunaga connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fidnhasieunch momentarily.
Nice straight punches there by Matsunaga. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Matsunaga.

Matsunaga scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Fidnhasieunch gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fidnhasieunch ducks right into an uppercut from Matsunaga.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Matsunaga lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Matsunaga connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Fidnhasieunch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Matsunaga as he jumps to the side.
Matsunaga lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Matsunaga.
Crunch! Matsunaga slams his shin into Fidnhasieunch's torso.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fidnhasieunch closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Matsunaga did well to prevent Fidnhasieunch getting side control.

Matsunaga is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Fidnhasieunch is tapping! Great win for Matsunaga!
