Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Streicher Voges (ranked 4012 p4p, 408 weight class) and Bung Popper (ranked 2293 p4p, 258 weight class). Voges comes to the cage accompanied by Windgat bakkie. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Streicher Voges!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bung Popper!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popper throws a head kick that misses.
Voges drops down looking for a counter takedown but Popper sprawls and moves away.
Popper throws out a leg kick but Voges moves out of range and Popper only half commits.

Voges shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Voges was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Popper wants to control but Voges postures up.
Voges definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Popper might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Voges haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Voges wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Popper, who protects the arm well.
Voges fails to land a wild elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Voges is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Popper's shoulder. That is not cool.
Voges wants to control but Popper is keeping him busy.
Voges in side control, throwing shots but Popper defends.

Voges trying to control the position but Popper is working away.
Popper defending against the ground and pound.
Voges lands a decent elbow from side control.
Voges fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Voges throws an elbow but Popper slips to the side and avoids it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Popper can do anything to dispel that myth.
Voges throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Voges looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Voges lands a few punches from side control.

Voges is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Popper is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Voges has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Voges cracks Popper with a big elbow.
Popper taking punishment in the form of punches.
Voges lands some shots froms side control.
Voges scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Popper to see if he's OK.
Popper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Voges. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Popper parries the strikes from Voges easily there. Voges is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Popper to escape.
Voges sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Popper is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Voges trying to control the position but Popper is working away.
Popper defending against the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Voges scoring with punches and elbows.
Popper dodges the ground and pound from Voges.
Voges creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Popper taking punishment in the form of punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Voges in side control lands a decent elbow.
Voges working the body and head with strikes.
Voges wants to control but Popper is keeping him busy.
Voges working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Voges is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Popper looks calm but he's in trouble here. Voges gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Popper is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Voges lets go of the hold and Popper can pop his arm back in it's socket.
