Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sakurai did well to prevent Patel getting side control.
Sakurai trying to control from the bottom.
Patel trying to mount his opponent but Sakurai defends it.
Patel with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Sakurai is looking for a sweep. Patel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sakurai looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sakurai is positioning himself well to prevent Patel advancing to mount.
Sakurai has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sakurai trying to control but Patel postures up.

Sakurai moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Patel is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sakurai has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Patel is looking to defend but Sakurai has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Patel! Sakurai pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Patel taps out and this one is all over!
