The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kevs moves into the clinch.
Li tries to circle away but Kevs has him pinned against the ropes.
Kevs scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Jackie Li has been cut.
Kevs effectively controlling the action here.
Li wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kevs breaks the clinch.
Kevs tries to clinch up but Li circles away and keeps his distance.
Li throws a body shot but no joy.
Kevs was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Kevs displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Li throws out the jab.
Kevs delivers a nice body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Li tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Kevs manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kevs bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Li misses with a looping left.
Li looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Li fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As Li tries to get set, Kevs tries to push him back and clinch up but Li manages to avoid the attempt.

Li tries to land a front kick but Kevs steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kevs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kevs throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Li on the side of the head.

and Kevs counters with a left and a right that stings Li.
Li misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kevs circles away from the clinch attempt.
Li takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kevs tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Li paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Li takes a swing at Kevs's ribcage but misses.
Li swats away the attempt to clinch by Kevs.

Kevs moves into the clinch successfully.

Kevs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Li fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kevs tries a head kick but it misses.
Li closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A telegraphed right hand from Li misses the target.
Li tries to close the distance and clinch but Kevs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Li scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackie Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kevs is breathing heavily.

Kevs rushes Li and presses him up against the ropes.

Li misses with a punch on the inside.

Kevs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That kick from Kevs tenderised Li's leg. Li is trying to keep his angry face on.
Li lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kevs circles away quickly and effectively.
Kevs is looking to counter punch.
Kevs takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kevs blocks the body kick.
Kevs looks to score with a jab to the body but Li is just out of range.
Kevs takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kevs tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kevs is rocked!
Kevs leaves his chin hanging out and Li seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Kevs crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
