Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mono Loco (ranked 2035 p4p, 186 weight class) and Albert Sure (ranked 2353 p4p, 213 weight class). Mono Loco is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mono Loco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Albert Sure!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loco dives in and grabs Sure's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sure pushes down on Loco's head and hops out.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sure.
Loco looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sure misses with a jab, cross combination.
Loco drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sure sprawls and moves away.
Loco on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Loco has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Loco there as he acknowledges the shot.
Left hook, right uppercut from Sure.
Loco on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sure stuffs the takedown attempt from Loco. Loco gets slowly back to his feet.
Sure stuns Loco with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Loco shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sure is trying to defend but Loco finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sure really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Loco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sure felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Sure tries to kick Loco off but Loco keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Loco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Loco is taking a breather. Sure says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Loco darts in looking for a takedown but Sure gets double underhooks and turns Loco into the cage.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Sure manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Loco jumps guard but Sure turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Sloppy strikes from Sure. Those never looked like landing.
Sure tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Loco in particular looking to stall.

Sure keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Loco thows a huge punch but Sure dodges it nicely.

Sure scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Loco manages to mount him!

Sure has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Sure covering up well and avoiding damage.

Loco shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sure as he jumps to the side.

Loco shoots in looking for a takedown. Sure tries to sprawl out of it but Loco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sure manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sure fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Loco tries to counter with a takedown but Sure is quick to defend against it.
Albert Sure seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Loco takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sure scores with a jab. Loco acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sure. That's going to slow Loco down.
Loco changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sure tries to avoid it but Loco manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sure to the ground. Sure escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sure has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sure comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sure, as that shot connected.
Loco shoots for a takedown but Sure saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sure throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Sure ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sure lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Loco shoots in and drives through. Sure sprawls well.
Sure displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Loco shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sure pinned against the cage. Sure gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sure bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Loco's head backwards.
Sure connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Sure slaps away a takedown attempt from Loco, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Loco throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sure's waist but Sure gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Loco off to one side.
A left and a right from Sure both land. Nice combination.
Sure lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


Loco is rocked!
Sure pushes Loco away with a front kick.
Oh Loco is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Loco looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Loco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sure is fending him off so far but Loco persists. Nope, Sure circles away and we're back to standing.
Sure stuns Loco with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Sure lands a left and a right that send Loco crashing to the mat, dazed. Sure thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Loco fails with a takedown attempt.
Loco finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Sure's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Loco falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Albert Sure!
