The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer tries for a takedown but Smith sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brewer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brewer fails to land the takedown.
Smith seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Brewer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Smith fails to pull guard.
Brewer is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Smith to keep the fight standing.
Tony Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emmanuel Brewer.
Smith lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

It looks like Emmanuel Brewer has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith prevents the takedown attempt.

Brewer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brewer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Smith counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Brewer is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Brewer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brewer gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
