Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mick Dunlop (ranked 3171 p4p, 414 weight class) and Gamzat Gamzatov (ranked 4648 p4p, 521 weight class). Gamzatov has chosen Entrance Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunlop connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Dunlop throws a leg kick that is checked

and Gamzatov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gamzatov trying to control but Dunlop is working from the bottom.
Dunlop on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dunlop tries to get out of the position.
Gamzatov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dunlop looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gamzatov works over Dunlop with some ground and pound from guard.
Gamzatov trying to control the position from guard on top but Dunlop is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dunlop utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Dunlop is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gamzatov is controlling him.

Dunlop is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gamzatov drops back looking for a leg! Dunlop is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dunlop manages to kick Gamzatov off! Gamzatov jumps back into Dunlop's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gamzatov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dunlop is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gamzatov has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Holding Cell. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Dunlop knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gamzatov on the ground.
Dunlop is looking for a sweep. Gamzatov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gamzatov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dunlop wants to improve his position but Gamzatov is controlling well.

Gamzatov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Gamzatov in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Dunlop tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gamzatov!
