PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Ngoss (ranked 5299 p4p, 520 weight class) and Rorion Gracie (ranked 5645 p4p, 533 weight class). Gracie has chosen Olha a Explosão as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a predictable looking body shot

and Ngoss counters by clinching up.

Ngoss pulls guard successfully.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Ngoss keeps moving.

Ngoss has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Ngoss is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ngoss manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Ngoss's guard.
Ngoss on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ngoss tries to get out of the position.
Ngoss can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ngoss has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gracie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Gracie tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ngoss's elbow.
Ngoss tries to pull guard but Gracie holds him up against the cage and eventually Ngoss drops back down to his feet.
Ngoss is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gracie pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Ngoss got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ngoss has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Gracie pushes a forearm under Ngoss's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ngoss is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
