PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Amado Medel (ranked 5348 p4p, 576 weight class) and Sammy Ru (ranked 5217 p4p, 563 weight class). Medel comes into the arena with December Avenue-Sa Ngalan Ng Pag-ibig blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medel lands with a straight right. Ru didn't see that one coming.
Ru swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice shot lands for Medel.
Ru darts in trying to clinch
and Medel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ru ducks right into an uppercut from Medel.
Ru tries to clinch up
letting Medel counter with a right hand.
Ru ducks right into an uppercut from Medel.
Medel fakes the leg kick and cracks Ru in the body.
Ru tries to clinch there but Medel circles away.
It looked like Medel was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ru.
Ru misses with an uppercut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ru looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A left lands for Medel.
Medel tests Ru's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Ru throws a sloppy body shot
and Medel counters with a stiff right hand.

Ru is rocked!
Ru walks straight into a solid jab from Medel. Oh, it looks like it's stumbled him! Medel follows up with a big combo - a right followed by a left that knocks Ru out cold! Ru toppled like a tree, face planting on the canvas. Wow, that was brutal!
