Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vito Scaletta (ranked 789 p4p, 103 weight class) and Sandayu Winger (ranked 1933 p4p, 242 weight class). Scaletta's entrance music is i kill cause im hungry. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scaletta takes one to the chin there.
Scaletta slips under a jab.
Scaletta lands a lovely overhand right.
Scaletta works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Winger closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Scaletta did well to prevent Winger getting side control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Winger cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Winger dives in for a single leg takedown but Scaletta sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
It looked like Scaletta was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Winger misses with a takedown attempt - Scaletta sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Winger on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winger lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Horrible takedown attempt by Winger or perhaps it was just good defense by Scaletta, which made it look bad.

Scaletta is sitting in close to Winger's body. Winger has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Scaletta is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Scaletta is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Winger.
