Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Farboni looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A counter left hand to the body from Whiston misses its target.

Farboni gets caught napping as Whiston dives in and scores a takedown. Farboni manages to retain guard.
Farboni is trying to keep Whiston in close.
Whiston slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Whiston slips nicely into half guard.

Whiston takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Farboni is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Whiston.
Whiston seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Farboni for as long as he can get away with.
Whiston has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Whiston shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Farboni napping and manages to drive through into side control!

We've been hearing good reports from Whiston's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Farboni is desperately trying to improve his position but Whiston has a good base and remains in mount.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Whiston.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
