Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willis Weaver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Bull!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bull is looking to clinch.
Bull doesn't manage to clinch there - Weaver circles away.
It appears Weaver was looking to counter with a kick there.

Weaver closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bull did well to prevent Weaver getting side control.
Weaver lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Weaver moves nicely into side control.
Weaver prevents Bull from escaping the position.

Weaver wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bull, who protects the arm well.
Bull seems a little lost for a moment, as Weaver dominates the positioning.

Weaver is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bull knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Weaver tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Weaver has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bull wants to get back to his feet but Weaver drags him back down.

Weaver thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Weaver wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bull, who protects the arm well.

Weaver tries for a kimura but Bull is defending well.

Weaver looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Weaver is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bull is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Weaver decides to stand back up. Weaver steps back and let's Bull get back to his feet.
Bull misses with a double jab
and Weaver counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bull thinking.
Bull delivers a nice body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bull tries to clinch but Weaver is having none of it.
Weaver avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bull plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Willis Weaver has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Weaver circles away from the clinch attempt.
Weaver looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Brian Bull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bull lands an elbow inside that Weaver shrugs off.
A short left from Bull.
Weaver fails to pull guard.
Bull missing with knees to the body.
Bull works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Weaver drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bull pulls his leg out and moves away.
Weaver is breathing heavily.
Bull scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bull fails with an attempt to clinch.
Weaver is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bull.

Bull drops Weaver with a beautiful combination! Weaver stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bull is looking for the KO!


Weaver is rocked!


Willis Weaver's cut is getting worse.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bull rushes Weaver and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Oh Weaver is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bull drops Weaver onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Weaver is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Bull dips a shoulder and cracks Weaver with a mighty uppercut! Weaver falls back against the cage and Bull unloads with a barrage of strikes! Weaver is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Bull screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Bull!
