Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Igor Byhenikov (ranked 7229 p4p, 557 weight class) and Lin Shui (ranked 6778 p4p, 544 weight class). Byhenikov comes to the cage accompanied by Harbinger. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 6 losses; Igor Byhenikov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 3 losses; Lin Shui!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Shui shoots in and gets a takedown into Byhenikov's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Byhenikov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shui trying to control the position from guard on top but Byhenikov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
My spies in Lads Lash Banter Gym inform me that Shui has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Byhenikov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shui manages to get himself to full guard.

Byhenikov wants to control but Shui is keeping him busy.

Byhenikov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shui has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Byhenikov is working away from the top position though.
Shui is trying to get back to full guard.
Byhenikov wants to pass the guard but Shui is defending well.

Shui wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Shui won't allow Byhenikov to pass to mount.
Byhenikov is looking to pass Shui's guard but actually Shui recovers to full guard.
Byhenikov is fighting to break Shui's control of his arms but Shui is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Shui looking for a sweep. Not yet Shui, not yet.
Byhenikov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shui swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Shui looking for a triangle here. Byhenikov is fighting it but it looks tight! Shui pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Byhenikov is tapping out - this one is all over!
