Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chief Chippewa (ranked 3339 p4p, 97 weight class) and Suge Knight (ranked 3001 p4p, 93 weight class). Knight has chosen Compton as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Suge Knight enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Chippewa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Suge Knight!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chippewa.
Chippewa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Knight sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Chippewa tries for a takedown but Knight sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Knight lands a right hook to the body.
Knight misses with a two punch combination.
Knight's corner calls for a 1-2. Knight obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.


It looks like Chief Chippewa has been cut.

Chippewa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Knight tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chippewa is in Knight's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Knight can do anything to dispel that myth.
Chippewa won't allow Knight to sweep him here.

Chippewa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Knight is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Knight has escaped and now he's on top!

Knight stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chippewa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chippewa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Knight defends well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Chippewa has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Knight should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Chippewa has tightened it up now! Knight should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Chief Chippewa!
During a confident post fight interview, Chief Chippewa thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
