The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khrapov Jr defending well as Hawtry loads up on a big left hand.
Khrapov Jr misses with a few strikes there.
Khrapov Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hawtry changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Khrapov Jr connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hawtry. Hawtry circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hawtry lands with an overhand left.
Hawtry throws a hook but Khrapov Jr avoids it easily.
We've been told by Khrapov Jr's head coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Khrapov Jr feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hawtrys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Hawtry connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Khrapov Jr some visible discomfort.

Hawtry cracks Khrapov Jr with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hawtry immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Khrapov Jr is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hawtry!

A relieved looking Charles Hawtry thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
